Classes

Which class should I take first?

Our classes are grouped by level, and each level builds on the ones before it. Start with Level 1 (the Basic Workshop) before moving on to Level 2 (the Advanced Workshop), and so on. See all classes by level on the Classes & Workshops page.

How do I reserve a seat?

Choose your class dates on the class page and pay the deposit to hold your seat, or pay in full. The balance is due 15 days before the class starts.

How big are the classes?

Classes are limited to 11 students (10 for upholstery). A class needs at least 5 students to run.

Where are classes held?

At our training center: 250 SE Catawba Rd, Unit C, Port Clinton, OH 43452. You'll have your own sewing machine during class.

Do you provide lodging?

No. Students book their own hotel. We recommend refundable bookings in case a class is rescheduled.

Supplies

How is fabric sold?

By the yard. The quantity you order is the number of yards we cut. Many fabrics get a lower price per yard at 10+ and 30+ yards, applied automatically in your cart.

Where do you ship?

Within the United States only. Shipping is not included and will be billed separately. Free local pickup is available in Port Clinton, Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM and Saturday 8 AM–noon. See our Shipping Policy.

Can I return something?

Uncut, unused items can be returned within 15 days of delivery, less a 15% restocking fee. Cut material and drop-shipped items can't be returned. See our Refund Policy.

I'm tax-exempt. How do I order?

Email your exemption certificate to info@northcoastmarinesolutions.com before you order, and we'll set up your account.

Winter storage

What size boat can you store?

Up to 45 ft long, 13 ft beam and 17 ft high on the trailer.

How much does it cost, and when do I apply?

$8.50 per square foot for the season (October 1 to April 30), including haul-out and launch. Apply by August 31. See Winter Storage for what's included and the application.
